hi everybody, it has been a while ….
Had some sleepless nights over my '68 wagon, but made the decision…..she's gotta go….:(
We had some great times, great trips and great meetings with this wagon….all in all, great fun:thumbs2:, but after i drove my wife to be cremated, the chapter was done….can't explain but thats how it felt…
I sold the wagon last week with mixed emotions…
I still have the '64 wagon (still under construction) so i needed a "new" daily,

    Here it is………..

Thats great! If you get here, the northern hospitality says that you are guaranteed a place to stay at my home. There are some great carshows here in the summer!

So sorry about your loss, Paul. It's easy to understand why you felt it was time to say goodbye to the 68.

On a brighter note, that panel is awesome! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
What are you planning to do with it?
Will you keep the patina or paint it?
Tell us more about it, please.

    About the Panel-plans….

It is already converted to 318/727, has a '81Cordoba frontclip but a paintjob is NOT gonna happen:lolup: LOVE the patina...
At first glance i'm not sure yet what the plans are ….still to fresh….

I guess i'll enjoy cruisin' it for now, change some details (tail-lights and making a small bumper for the back) and see what comes in my mind…

Going to the VivaLasVegas show end of March…for sure gonna see some freaky kustoms there…always good for inspiration (y)

I'm thinkin' of taking out the leather bench and install some old skool bomber seats…

And i'm changing the wheels and tires..
I've seen some cool vintage raw-cast wheels at rocket racing mag wheels, and i want to top them of with wide white walls…

What do you think about that:D:1st::D

I really like it! I'm also glad to read you kept the power in the family (Mopar engine). Allways had made me crindge when ya see a old Ford or Mopar with a Chev motor...keep it brand name IMO.....of course, unless your talking about a old Nash etc, etc where you just won't find...........

I'm also sorry for your loss...:(

Thanks Tedy, but life goes on and this is my new chapter :)

True about keeping it in the (mopar) family, but i gotta be honest,
i'm not a ford-man…do like a lot of theyr models and styling but i have a problem with the big thing under the hood..somehow:hmmm:

But each his own, i respect what other people drive and build…i do my car as i think i want it and don't care what others think, thow it is again super cool when your cruising on a vacation in England with my '68 wagon in the pourig rain on the M25, and a guy with a suit and tie in a big ass audi, slams on his brakes…..opens his window and sticks his thumb up for 10 seconds….
    RESPECT:1st:

But in this purchase i think i got it right, thow i'm not driving at the moment due to a broken ignition...
    New one on the way..:)

Well it has been a while for me too, but I have been working on my '60 Studebaker wagon! In October, I rebuilt the front brakes. Then work got busy so she got pushed back a couple of months. . .

I put her in the garage last weekend and started on the rear brakes. If any of you have worked on a Studebaker or any other old car with tapered rear axles, you'll understand when I tell you it took about 1 hour to get each hub/drum assembly off last Saturday. But they are off, and that is the good thing, and nothing was destroyed in the process!

In fact, the shoes look like new! It only has 63k on it so that does not surprise me. But the wheel cylinders are leaking of course. I bought everything to rebuild the braking system 10 years ago, so I have all the parts!

On Saturday, I'll attack the brakes. It's supposed to be cold and windy, my garage has a heater, so my Studebaker will get some more attention!
