@A1Awind: LPG is available at 80% of the gas stations here and cost about $3 per gallon (where regular gas cost about $8)

@ Pinebox: a brand new one..... :thumbs2: and on the practical side: I also do have a 1.1 liter '92 Ford Fiesta (my daily driver in winter); bought almost 5 years (or 55.000 mls) ago for $250, passed every (yearly) inspection without being serviced and for me it is a 'shack on wheels'; even drove around with a TH400 tranny in the back for about 2 years due to a lack of space elsewhere :) .

Funny they weren't honest enough to tell us the gameplan with this PhotoCard/Passport hike. We're only 33 million, of which maybe 6 million drive across to the US. The Americans aren't coming up, because they have to spend about the same, and pay more for our tourist traps and gas.

I just got my renewal notice, and I can get the 'enhanced' driver's license for only $30 bucks more, every freakin' year! Passports are $90 for 5 years! No brainer. Especially if I drive to Mexico, coming back, you get questions from the US Border guys, then the second check, by State inspection guards, "Oh is Manitoba a country, or one of our states?" Or, "I don't want your Money Mart ID, I want your passport!" :rofl2:

I think the 3 governments figured that if they frustrated us enough, we'd be begging for a common, borderless continent. They don't even promote National Pride in Canada anymore.

Here guys, you can judge for yourselves. I am not forcing anything upon you, just giving you some world wide aired CNN/CNBC broadcasts about our world as we know it and the talks about the probable future.

I hope to be 10000 miles away and watching it all unfold on TV. If not before the start, soon after.

When it happens, I wanna be buried face down, so they can my a$$.

Wait until Mexicans start grasping this mess. You can bet they'll try another revolution and dump their government or die trying.

Why would they revolt? FORD for one, has already move tons of production down there and created decent paying jobs for them. Now they can earn the USD and do it without leaving their families or sneaking illegally across our borders. There are 8 farms close to me and they each have atleast 4 illegal Mexican workers there. They get deported and a new group is there in a week. I have seen the same guy at 2 of the farms after being deported 3 times now. They will be the only ones gaining from this. Better economy they they are used to while we will all be suffering.

I am so glad that somebody is seeing what's wrong with this! I suggest reading Glenn Beck's books to really get a good point of view on what's going on.

CE, someone would have to be Def, Blind and Stupid to not see the clues that we are in for a world of hurt. The way I see it, it must be a nasty plan they have up their sleeves, or they would be talking about it openly. They are afraid of us, so they keep us in the dark and spring it on us once the plans are already a done deal. Then they will threaten us to keep in line with nasty punishments. The loud, trouble making people will get a visit from the Ghosts(Secret Service) and be silenced or disposed of and covered up.

BF, Mexicans actually are passionate nationalists. Those that leave, do so only to help their families at home with the screwed up economic imbalance. Huge gap between rich and broke, in Mexico.

All they need is a smart leader to ramp up a revolt and they'll circle the wagons in a few hours. Even the military would back them. They love their traditions, their culture and their language.

Huge mistake for a visitor or company to ignore the depth and strength of Mexican culture.

When's the last time you saw a bumper sticker that said "America, Love It or Leave It!" ? How many groups have attacked singing the National Anthem in school? You'd never see that in Mexico. Even the Human Rights lobby never touch those icons of Mexican Nationalism. Honestly.

Blackfoot, ,the more I talk to you, the more I like you. This is exactly what so many people have been saying for so long. I blame it on all the progressiveist leaders. Name more than one president who hasn't been a progressivist since say Woodrow Wilson? I can only think of one Ronald Reagan. All you get now is progressive (Democrats) and slightly less progressive (Republicans)
