The Volvos are the only things that run, and at the moment, the engine's out of the 240. However, my wife's parents were both hoarders and never sold a car they didn't like (literally.) At one point they had 11 cars, 2 of which ran. I got the really important one out of their yard in 2007 before the county took it. Sorry for the small picture, it's the only one I have access to at the moment.
'61 Mercedes Benz 300SL convertible. Restored, worth upwards of $250,000. It's now hiding out in my garage.

This one I'm working on getting out now. We're in the process of selling my mother-in-law's house and I took a dumpster load of trash out of the garage to get to this. I need a place to move it to by the end of the year, but it will get running again.
    '58 Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner.

There's also a suicide door '68 Lincoln and a '73 Mercedes in storage. I'd love to get rid of the Lincoln and put the Ford there instead.

I have three great offspring and a grand daughter.
    Plus... another on the way.
No need for another car since I have limited skills that allow driving one at a time anyway.

Breadbox those are some great cars. Now I don't feel so bad with the little bit of junk we have to figure how to get rid of before putting our place up for sale and moving.
If and when we move it will be the less cars I've owned since I married in 1957. I've never had many but enough parts to build more.

Jairus you don't need skills to own dozens of cars and have lots of kids.

Still got a 1939 Ford deluxe coupe with Chevy running gear. All are V-8's.
A 1941 Ford 2-door with Chevy running gear
A 1946 Mercury project with no running gear but a complete rolling 1947 Mercury running gear engine to rear.
A 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton panel with Chevy running gear.
    A 1955 Chevy 2-door handy man wagon.
    Sold the 1950 Stupidbegger.
Drive a 2004 Dodge hemi truck
Enough junk to assemble a Johnny Cash special one piece at a time including a 1977 Dodge 440 w/torqueflite and a Model T complete engine/tranny.

I never was addicted. I can quit anytime I want to. :banghead3:

We're on dumpster number three and I'd say the house is a little more than half empty, excluding furniture. If anyone near MD wants the Lincoln, I'm serious about getting rid of it. It's rusty but complete, except for some trim that fell off when we moved it. Only problem is that I still haven't found the title, just a copy, and since this is being done over my mother-in-law's protest, getting a new one isn't proving to be easy.

I love riding this 50+ year old Raleigh to the store.
Its almost the same as the one I had as a teenager.
I picked it up for chump change at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore a couple of years ago. :D
I think the tires are original, or maybe the first replacements, but I did have to replace the seat.
The seat was a $2 Yard sale find, of course.
It rides and looks almost like new!

My non wagon and occasional use car is my 1998 Olds Aurora. Bought it from the original owner 5 years ago at 65,000 miles. Came with all maintenance records, bill of sale, etc.
Great car-front wheel drive with a 4.0 liter V-8. On the highway with the a/c on it gets 26 mpg. I use it for cruise nights and car shows and people are always asking what is it.

Loving that Ford, is that a Galaxie 500?
My brother in law had one back in the day, built for the drags with a 427.
    Same interior but red paint.
Left it to rot in a barn.

    I wish.
It was somewhere around Rolla Missouri 30 years ago.
I'm sure the property was sold and it's long gone.

Yep a one year only model based on the Galaxie body built by Ford to showcase the then new 428 engine. It's interesting to note that the 428 came in three flavours; a 9:1 low compression, mine which is 10.5:1 @ 345 hp, plus a police interceptor with three two barrel carbs and 360 hp. The really hard to find ones (expensive) are the few factory 427 engined cars that were built in a run of approx. 5000 total cars made.

Btw I bought this car from the original owners nephew who worked at the CN Transcona yards with my father.
