The wagon looks pretty solid. Seats look decent. Looks like you just need to find a fender and some interior plastic pieces, although that can be somewhat difficult. It seems likes 71 - 78 are interchangeable on that stuff. Or is it 73 - 78, meaning you're limited to 71-72? Someone will have to confirm. I can't remember. I'd be all over that trade, especially since I can do the mechanicals myself. I definitely see that wagon as being more than a parts car, but that's just me. However, with it not running, I wouldn't go any more than $500, if you were doing a cash only deal. Good luck, and keep us updated!

Well you may not like what I have to say, but you did ask for input........

IMO it's a parts car ( but seeing in person is another story) Mechanicals are one thing but I'm sure you will have one heck of a time finding those damaged cargo interior panels. inspect the rear frame very good, these are notorious for rear frame rot and if that's the case, IMO it's at best a $500 parts car, if you already have a decent wagon needing trim/misc parts. Non running but seller will trade if you get yours running...??? I'd be suggesting to seller, "Lets dump a battery in, get some gas/quick start and see what happens with the wagon before I get mine running" Personally I voted for *NO, there's other wagons out there.................

Good luck, in the end it's up to you:tiphat:

Yeah, if there's rust/rot that we can't see, that totally changes the story. If it's solid, I say it's worth saving. But, if it's rusty, move on to the next one.

Well I've seen it up close that's where I got most of the pics, the interior is in decent shape, no rips or tears in the seats, headliners got one small tear over the passenger seat, the dash is cracked but that's to be expected of the age. When I climbed under from what I could see as the car sits low and I couldn't jack it up, I didn't notice much rust any more than any other car. The only major spot I noticed was at the left rear quarter panel in front of the tire had paint bubbles from rust, I think there's a pic of that on here. As for the parts car, I think it could technically go either way, its solid enough from what I've seen that it could be made to run, or it could be torn down if so desired.
I thought of getting rid of that 03 vic because I don't want it or need it, its been sitting up for awhile collecting dust and playing with chemistry by turning gas into varnish/water, so I figured it would be either a good trade for something I want to play with, or its junked.
If i lose out on it I wont be sad, there's defiantly other wagons out there.
I do appreciate the opinions and thoughts, y'all have been real helpful, hopefully I haven't been too much of a burden... well yet anyway I'm sure once I get a project I'll be asking more and more questions.

No, but if you and it were up here, I'd tag along to lend a hand at starting the wagon.

Well, I think there are a number of folks on here that are from "the hill country" but out hills may not necessarily be close to yours. ;)
