Exact survival rates don't matter. The important thing to remember is that they are overall LOW, and people generally vastly overestimate how many of any particular make/model are still on the road 30, 40, or 50 years later. It's not going to be 50% o5 25% or even 10%. The percentage will be in single digits, perhaps in some cases even less than 1%, except int m unusual cases, such as the mid-50s Chevys, which were recognized as collectible almost as soon as they were originally produced and thus efforts to save them started immediately. This is not the case for the vast majority of cars and trucks produced.

That must have been an amazing show. The weather did look perfect. Did you and wagonman76 get to meet up?
Hope you invited all those wagon folks to join our group...since their cars have made it here they might as well.:bouncy:
Thank you for sharing your pictures and labelling them, that was helpful.:)

I might have met up but didn’t know it. I was kitty corner only a few cars down. And I was over there checking out that Firenza wagon and talking with the owner. That’s my wagon visible over the Toro roof and through its windows.[IMG]

The weather really worked out for both shows. In Minnesota, it stayed nice for the show, and started pouring by the time I got back to the hotel. Then it was barely 50f all week and no sun. I was running my friggin pellet stove. But shaped up nice just in time for the Lansing show.

The Firenza must be a close cousin to a Cutlass, he seems to have similar lines.

2024 Oldsmobile Homecoming show. Another beautiful day. Here are the wagons I saw. I may have missed some, as cars came and went throughout the day. I’ll start with the 1977 downsized cars and up.

The late 80s Olds 88 hearse conversion was super cool. Was parked right next to me too. Owner said she just bought it that way and had no idea they were so rare. I’ve seen several FWD 88s converted to limos but never a hearse.

Also got to meet a few more guys with GM FWD A bodies. The light blue wagon didn’t make it till way late but he will probably be in the show next year.

And here are the rest. Being an 80s kid, I don’t know much about the older ones. It was odd that a bunch of wagons were all in a row, even though only 2 of them seemed affiliated with each other. All the rest were from different states.
