Wagons in vintage Street scenes

This picture is of Vancouver and was taken from a point less than a 10min drive from my house. Due to security at the Port now, you can't get near this point. I love these old pics!

 

Back where I was partially raised there was a small switch yard one block west with two tracks north and south out of town. Loved to hear the cars being switched and banging and hear the trains late at nite going out of town.
All of those tracks are long gone. Even here in the Florida boonies there was a RR line about 1/4 mile from our house. Only saw one train there as they unloaded large poles for electrical lines.
I cussed waiting for trains on the way to school and work. Now I cuss because I miss them.
