Oh no! Look at all those nice coupes. And even worse look at all of those tri-five Chevy wagons. I'd rather see a naked man typing! At least he's wearing flip-flops.:biglaugh:

And that boys and girls is why there are so few 2-door coupes on the road today. Sort of like future street rod abortion.

Still I wonder if there are more old coupes and wagons left for that very reason. People have restored old race coupes, redone them as rods, or even old race cars. Many of the other non raced coupes were scraped years ago.
Personally I never had a race car but have watched many of them being wrecked as they were drag raced or stock car raced. Even then I liked old cars yet those were nothing but old cars to me like the 1000's in junk yards and fields everywhere.
My brother-in-law had dozens of Ford sedans from 1946-48 just sitting in ditches on his farm. Eventually a large company bought the farm and either scraped those fairly straight complete cars or shoved them into gulleys with their big yeller tractors.
Here I enjoy the vintage street scenes as much as the cars. Thanks.

That is true, here is one that raced near me in the 60s and early 70s.

As it was found a few years ago.

Now it's on the road, I saw it drive by my house.

Imagine the memories and the love someone had for that car. Most of us would have parted it or scraped it out.
Comparing the before and after the body wasn't all that bad.
