This may not be 100% accurate. Remember reading about it not long ago in a trucking post. Here's what a google search brought up among other things.---Established in 1928 at the intersection of U.S. Route 66 and Route 136 in McLean, Illinois, Dixie Truckers Home is the oldest truck stop in America.
McLean, Illinois rt 136-I-55, from what I remember America's oldest truck stop. Started out as a tiny car and truck repair garage. When broke down travelers got hungry the mechanic's wives made sandwiches. A small restaurent was built next door and became the Dixie Truck Stop. I'm not as dumb as you look!
A larger truck stop was built and later burned. I believe this is the one that burned down. When I-55 replaced old Rt 66 it was moved farther east and business slowed. Somehow they survived and it's been remodeled several times and is famous.
We lived around 50 miles nw and occasionally stopped in for lunch. Love seeing things we remember.

The next one has both an Altered Wheel Base Dodge, and a Stretched Ford Ambulance!

What kind of a Wagon am I looking at on the right? Not the one near the edge of the picture; the one by the sedan.

I know its a 1960 Ford, but not sure if its a Galaxie Town & Country or Country Squire as far as the name goes.

I'd say 1960 Country Squire. Probably rare today.
