Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Here is a Vintage Street Scene VIDEO, taken in Santa Monica, California, most likely in the spring or summer of 1967.... 3 1/2 minutes of pure old car nirvana, with some old wagons, and you get a groovy tune by the Grass Roots, too!

Hell, I expected ADAM-12 to go racing by on a code 3 call. In watching that film, I identified at least one structure used in TV and films, and perhaps another?

 

The single-level apartment house at Palisades and Ocean was used in a Goldie Hawn flick that took place during WWII. The apartment house at Arcadia Terrace looks awfully familiar.

 

While there were wagons throughout the video there was a whole bunch of them when it got down by the ocean. I guess wagons were popular with the surfers!

 

Yup. Thing is, that area where it was shot is not a surfing area. You would have to go up the coast a bit further.

Also an FYI. The first segment starts only about 4 blocks from where the second segment ends. The first segment, on Ocean Ave. doesn't pan to the opposite side of the street, unfortunately, where you would see the famous Palisades Park, on top of cliffs, with Pacific Coast Highway below.

 

Kinda rough on the tail pipe and the bumper by the time he goes another two feet.

 

Another 2 feet, and the rear tires will be hanging in mid air. As Forrest Gump once said... "You can't fix stupid"...

What is this from - a movie or a photo shoot or something else? What a picturesque house!

 

I've seen that someplace else. The people look real. Yet the rest looks like a model.

It's like they are moving out and even taking the TV antenne while the neighbors are coming back from swimmin in the nearby lake.
The kid with the bike is flirting with the cute young girl while her sister is looking for pretty rocks in the driveway.

Someone seems to be shining a flood light on the confused guy trying to figure out where to put all the crap they have to take with them.
