I recognized it instantly, the trains were still being unloaded in the middle of the street up till the early 90's.

The building to the right is still there and now attached to the other but for what ever reason I can't find a pic or the entire place. The basement was the real surplus shop for all kinds of "wow" vintage stuff (building to the left), today that is also pretty much history.

Kinda funny, this summer They opened a new store within walking distance from me, the down town photo store sells everything hardware plus yet the new store in my area was more lite duty hardware and more directed towards the new home owner needing lawn furniture, BBQ's etc, etc. I applied pre-opening while the new construction was going on to work in the store. I had a 45 minute interview that went great for the reason I had vast experience with hardware through all my years in the construction industry. And the 2 people interviewing me .... well it seemed like I was in! THEN they brought up my experience again and suggested I would fit in better at the old store, asked if I would work at the down town location rather than the new store.......I had to humbly decline that offer for various reasons.
