RE: #13512, with the Oreste Restaurant on the corner of Golden Gate Ave. and Jones Ave. in San Francisco......

I checked Google Earth on this one. Both the restaurant building and the one next door with the 'Paint Shop' are still there. The restaurant is closed up, no 'name' on the building, but the apartments on the second level appear to still be rented out. The building next door is a parking garage.

This whole thread is an awesome source of things to sketch.

 

My Uncle Marsh drove one of these way back when, and even though the calibrated speedo went to 140, in reality, it took a long distance at WOT to reach 140, and the chase was usually over well before then.

 

I do too.

Those 140 mph police speedos are hard to find nowadays, let alone police package cars. Finding a 72-76 Torino police car or a 77-79 LTD II police car is a good find in my world.
