COOL! Neat that they even still have the same street lights!

Here is a scene from a old downtown 22 miles from my house...

in 1959... (look close and you can spot a '58 Ford wagon).

    then tonight in 2014...

These first three buildings behind my wagon are the same first three you see in the pic from 1959.

Here's some pics of Culver City, California - the town where I was born.

    1956

Ship's Coffee Shop, Overland Ave., Culver City. Looks like a mid 70's Vista Cruiser behind the Caddy.... Nice coffee shop. I occasionally frequented the one in Westwood Village, near where I worked. Probably bought my very first cup of coffee there.......

Hamburger Handout, Airport Village, 1958. (I've posted this one before. At the age of 4 (1955), I broke off my dad's car key in the door lock while we were having a meal here...)

Corner of Washington Bl. and Culver Bl., looking East, 1963...

Newer pic, but this was Culver City's Buick dealer, Bill Murphy Buick. This is where that '57 Caballero that Jay Leno's garage did, was first sold.....

Dolores Drive-In, corner of Sepulveda and Washington Bl. The red Rocket to the right belongs to Albertson Oldsmobile, next door to the Drive-In. In later years, the drive-in was closed and torn down, to be replaced by small stores. The Olds dealer is gone now, too.....(of course).

A very frequent sight around Los Angeles from the 40's through the 60's was the Helms Bakery van. The most delicious breads, cakes and (especially) donuts brought right to your door.......

Neat photos guys, thanks for sharing!

That is actually a 1971 Chevy Caprice coupe to the left of that Vista Cruiser or LeMans Safari, I really cant tell from the pic, but those look like Pontiac wheels. The year that they were advertising the Caprice as being very "Cadillac like" was in '71. Looks like it was. :) Neat cars and building. The car on far right looks like a later model, so I wonder if this was taken in the 80s?
