#1319.....geeze.....I haven't seen a cop on a corner since I was a kid. Forgot about those guys directing traffic during busy hours.

I saw a lot of these pictures on Hemmings Auto Blogs too.

Ya just don't see women dressed like that anymore do you. Very cool pictures.

I lived in a town so small, that we didn't have a corner! :rofl2: Just one cop, who also served as the dog-catcher. :rofl2:

Yeah, and conspicuous by their absence are the young women and guys. In school? Working? hmmm...

442, I think 1320 is in Bennington as well. I'm thinking that Texaco station may be where the Hemmings museum/gas station is now.
I haven't gone through Bennington since they finished the 279 bypass a few years back. That spooky big old hotel where 7 makes the left by that church, always intriqued me. The owner of the "4 Chimneys" told me that was the equivalent of a mash unit during the civil war.

And motels with signs out stating great features like: in room television, in room telephone, then came cable television, vibrating beds, and I remember one sign that stated "rooms cleaned daily" :slap:
