This thread is magical. I've been to the US many times, but sadly never in the days when US cars were king. Now it seems Japanese cars are everywhere. A golden age!

The 'Convention Center' shown in #12464 above is in Anaheim, California - right across the street (Katella Ave.) from Disneyland.

When I was in college, we would drive 3/4 of an hour late at night just to go to that diner. It was the only place where you could get food 24 hours a day. Back then Keene was a small town with a small teachers college. Today, it is a major college center. When I went back about 10 years ago, I could barely recognize it, since it has changed so much. I believe that the diner is still there, or at least it was there 10 years ago.. Took my wife to see where I went to school before all the buildings were torn down.

Where and when did you go to school there? My family had a cabin in Brookline VT. (right near Newfane) Used to go to Keene often.
