The October Crisis, Canada 1970....This is the only time that the War Measures Act had been put in place during peacetime in Canada. The only other times were WWI and WWII. WMA could be compared to Marshall Law witch gave police and military the power to arrest, detain, anyone with no warrant, reason given, and basically lock them up and throw away the key.





Even cold war USSR didn't want anything to do with them...
