Jim, I think you are correct. Since the tail light is covered by foliage and the nose is out of the shot I based my guess on the side trim, which looked like 1963 Plymouth and the emblem on the hubcap. (which upon closer inspection does look more like Dodge, than Plymouth. There is a leaf in the way, so it looks longer, like the Plymouth emblem) Their head is right where the side trim narrows on the 65 Dodge, so it wasn't obvious.

    ^^^^

These last 2 look suspiciously like Hollywood back lot sets....... Notice how close the houses are to the streets.......

That's normal for the midwest. But you may be right. Our last house was not more than 25 feet from the curb.

Marshall, the site I found them on implied that they are back lot shots from Universal Studios in the 60's. In a couple of the photos there were no Wagons, but a half dozen matching mid sixties MOPARs. It looked kind of funny, since no neighborhood would have exclusively one make. I figured they were sponsored by Dodge/Plymouth at the time.

Sherman Way at Reseda Bl. in Reseda, San Fernando Valley, 1954. My folks lived near here from 1980 to about 1990.

I hope there's a station wagon in there somewhere....
This is the Santa Monica Pier, taken in the early 50's I would guess. if you look close, you can make out the famous arch over the entrance in the far background. This seems to be an exceptionally clear day, and the shot was taken with a very long lens, as you cam make out the San Gabriel Mountains in the background, which are at least 35 miles away........

Also PCH. This is north of the Pier, with SM in the background...

Tiny Naylors, famous LA drive-in, early 50's

Claude Short Dodge, Santa Monica, CA, 1950's. I never bought a vehicle here myself, but I knew a lot of people who did.....

Westbound Hollywood Bl. near San Vicente (West Hollywood area), around 1966 or so...

Houston's Sowthwest Freeway, 1981 (with a '81 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham coupe in the lead....)
EDIT: After looking at this one again, I've come to the conclusion that is not a Bonneville in the lead - it's a Grand Prix.

I-5 hear Tigard, OR, 1973. This stretch of !-5 is now about double that width.........

Portland, OR, 1962: (I have no idea exactly where this is, but the text with it says Harbor Dr.)

Downtown L.A., 1968 (Almost looks like New York, doesn't it?)

L.A. parking lot, 1961. How many wagons can you identify?

Bel Air fire, 1961. I remember going with my dad on his milk route around 1965 up here. There were still quite a few vacant lots from the fire.......
