Wagons in vintage Street scenes

That picture that Yeller posted of the ski resort parking lot has me confused. There's snow all around, but the pavement of the lot is immaculate plus all the cars as clean as a whistle. What's up with that. I go up to Okemo Mt in Vermont a lot in the winter and all the cars are always covered in salt or winter's grime and the lots are never that snow, ice or mud free.

 

I was looking at this particular picture and it reminded me of Mount Rainier in the spring. Same deal, there are mountains of snow all around the parking lot of the visitors center and it can be 65 degrees. It takes a long time for all of that snow to melt.
