Me and my brother playing in the alley next to our apartment in Eugene, Or circa 1966.
The '62 Rambler wagon in the background is our family car. It was baby blue with a manual straight-6 w/overdrive.

Here we are a few months later on a road trip through beautiful British Columbia eating sandwiches on the tailgate. I'm the older one... but he's the more responsible one.

By the way.... Dad still has the "grub box" and Colman cooler on a shelf in the garage. And the box still has the stickers on it, picked up from that trip!

I gave it a thought, but I've got no address! Eugene has a lot of streets that look like that! Town's a bit bigger than it was in '66!

Two kids on a bike together and a 62 Rambler. What more do you need to look for Marshall? Geeeze! Okay the kids might be a bit older by now. :slap:

Pretty close to downtown old-town If I remember right. Mom and Dad are completely clueless. The old house was in the front with a row of two story apartments in back and around one side.
What once WAS Lincoln Elementary, was in the the neighborhood a number of blocks away

    That's about all I remember.

    That's it!
Last window on the right, first floor was my second grade classroom where one of the class bullies stabbed my hand left hand with a #2 pencil. The lead mark has nearly faded... but still visible.

That's nice what they did to the old school. And we got a vintage scene out of it.

Still looking for your house, Jairus. Do you remember which direction from the school your house would be? For orientation, the school was on the N/W corner of Jefferson and 12th Ave., across the street from the Lane County fairgrounds, which were on the south side of 12th Ave.

Oops. Correction. The old school (and the fairgrounds) is on 13th Ave, not 12th.

    To the east.
I am searching the satellite image myself. Pretty sure the alley runs east-west so the roof should present itself fairly prominent with the apartments in an "L" behind. But... they could all be tore down by now.

Thought the alley would be the 12th st alley at first.... but nothing fits.

Later we moved to an apartment above the Bus Barns that were next to Emerald's Stadium... now called Civic Stadium.
That's the structure in the center of the the lot next to Civic Stadium. The fire exit was added later... along the wall above where I am sitting on my new stingray bike.

The window (now a door) was the window that got broken when a stray flyball ended up in the middle of the living room after we got back from vacation. I think I still have the ball...

    I'll keep looking.....
Civic stadium is about to get torn down. A few developers are having a little tug of war with the Eugene city council over who gets it. Fred Meyer is in the running.....
