Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Yup, I liked that movie!

 

Here is a photo taken around 1979-80 in a local supermarket parking lot. I have actually worked for the company for 13 years... I worked in a store for 11 years and have been at the corporate office for the last 2 years. One of my friends shared this on her Facebook and I remember seeing it before. I also remember what appears to be a 1975-76 Caprice Estate wagon setting in front of the store. Also notice a '71 Pontiac sedan. They say this was in the 70s, but I think it was around '80-81 because I notice a Mazda there with rectangle headlights and I don't think they had those on those cars until around 80-81?

Of course our stores look nothing like this now. lol.

 

72: In the foreground of that pic is a 78/79 Monte Carlo, so my guess is you are right that it is the early 80s. What a difference compared to now, that's for sure. Back then, cars looked like cars, not space pods.
