When I was growing up in West L.A., we had a H.U.D.D.L.E. near us on S. Bundy Dr. (@ National). Funny thing is - I don't think we ever ate there. Also, don't remember talking to anyone who did!

This is part II, the wagon is on the street side
7th one down from the convertible with it's top down.
it's a bad shot compared to the other cars in the parking lot.
There is one in the Standard station across the street, it's a tin woody.

Nash Plant at close to the end of the Nash production run.
It might be from after the change over to the Rambler name plate.
This photo appears to be cars with problems that were pushed aside
    to have things fixed.

Coachcraft in Hollywood, CA., was formed prewar by workers who earlier had worked for Dutch Darrin, a legendary auto body designer, building custom bodies on luxury chassis. The partners of Coachcraft did build some custom bodies on domestic chassis, but the majority of the work they preformed was customizing existing cars such as this Cadillac wagon. Coachbuilt.com reports that the firm built a custom 1951 Cadillac series 62 station wagon, for contractor Merrill M. Masden of Minneapolis, MN. That car was designed by L.A. stylist Phillip Wright for Masden and this attractive Cadillac appears to possibly have been that car. Coachbuilt.com also reports that Wright also did other designs for Coachcraft in the 1940s and 1950s.

This is the intersection of Natural Bridge Ave. and Goodfellow,
    in St. Louis, Missouri.1954
It looks mostly like 1930-1950s vehicles. Against the
Brown & Sons Tobacco Co./W.R. Cigarette Co. building
it looks like a Plymouth wagon and in the line of traffic
waiting to turn left I see a Woodie wagon and not much
of anything else that's noteworthy. Wait a minute stop the
presses I found another portion of this photo, there is another
Woodie heading in the direction of the intersection.

This photo leads us to believe that “Helicopter Moms” might
not be a new phenomenon as we have observed fairly recently.
The location of this photo is unknown, but it is dated Feb. 24, 1961.
Information with it states that parents were clogging the streets,
picking up their kids at school and it had been an ongoing
problem. Regardless of the problem shown, today some fifty
plus years later, it gives us a great view of the average
American iron on the road at the time. The oldest being
a pair of 1953 Chevrolets and possibly the newest, being
the big Chrysler with the eye brow style bumpers creating
its own lane on the right middle of the photo. What is the
lone import seen in the middle? Do you see anything
remarkable or rare here? Photo courtesy of Frank Barnes[IMG]
