I had missed this one, I agree I have never seed that rear window treatment. It has 150 model side treatment, and by the look of the background I would say Central or South America my wild guess would be Brazil. So far I have been unable to find anything on South American Chevy production of the era.

At first glance it looks like a 110, but it did not have that molding, and I do not believe it was available with 2 tone paint. My next guess would be a Mexican or other South American country. I know they did build variants of North American cars there, and they were somewhat different, although I have no idea what the differences would be on a 57 Chevy wagon.

Being a bit of a 57 Chevy nut, I did some research. I didn't come up with anything though. Definitely unique.

I did a bit of research too... probably the same google search the rest of you guys did and came up with nothing but an opinion.

I believe that this is a custom modification. Either a panel that windows were cut into it or a wagon modified for some reason.
The first option makes little sense due to the fact that the window clearly rolls down.
The second thought is that it's a modified base wagon. Why? Who knows.
The trim has clearly been removed soooo.... that screams "modification" to me!

The location is interesting. Palm trees, a waterway and another car that does not look quite American.
I suspect Cuba in the early 70's.

That actually makes sense. The rear quarter glass on those curves around to meet the liftgate glass. Suppose it broke, and all the owner could get is a piece of flat glass? That would explain the 'filler' piece.

The other car in the picture appears to be a late 50's British Ford Zepher.
