This is a screencap of a scene from the 1973 crime drama The Friends of Eddie Coyle, filmed on location in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Missouri street scene on routes 100 & 40, possibly in the St. Louis area.

I love these scenes of the past. I haven't been everywhere, but the places we have been are great to see as they were. So many great memories.
Now, if I could be 20-30-40 years younger and be driving one of those old vehicles life would be good!
I've been on routes 100 and 40, and in St Louis many times. I've been everywhere man--------Yet no place.

Cat, I do drive one like those cars and I have to say that cars today have MUCH better tires, traction, defrosters and heaters.

Winter driving is a little white knuckle... but, I guess we all have to go sometime.:slap:

Jairus, I agree. I may have driven in that exact spot on 100-40, maybe that day, and all over the Midwest most of my life. Drove on snow and ice in everything from small motorcycles and big Harleys, to many types cars and trucks, from VW Beetles to tractor trailers. Those old bias ply tires and manual steering, 39 Ford and 57 VW heaters, were a thing of joy in a blizzard at -10 degrees.
