    David my mother had a 65 Country Sedan for like 10 years! Remember the green dot??? I snuck that car out when I was about ..... 12 or 13

    The Green Dot!!! Haven't thought of that in a million years!

    This was the car that I was sitting in while my mom went into the Safeway...I got behind the wheel and was acting like I was driving:character0182:...put the wagon in neutral and it rolled back, blocking the whole parking lot! I had to run in and get my mom to start it up and pull it out of the way! :deadhorse: (I'm the horse!) :rofl2:

    Ah, misty watercolored memories! :disagree:

    the green dot... when I was about 5 Mom had a 62 Impala convertible that had the ignition that would allow the key to come out in OFF, not necessarily LOCK

    I got it started early some Sunday morning, but had not yet figured out the gear shift when I got busted by neighbor's phone calls to Mom and Dad

    I was 5

    Info from the guy who posted the pic. It was his Dad's Store in Portland OR.

    "Odd as it seems, it was carpet. He used to have some pretty big sales so those pictures weren't all that unusual in that time period. I can remember as a kid unlocking the front doors when the store opened and the mad rush of customers pushing their way in. But I agree, pretty crazy for a carpet store."

    This one is unique.
    Apparently the photo was taken in 89 on Rodeo Drive.
    So.... 21 years ago
    Looks to be a 58 Olds.
    That counts as a "Vintage street scene" right?

    Yeah, Wixom pointed that out. At first I thought the "A" pillar had the GM look to it. But now I realize it's not.
    I should have picked that up, being a FORD man and all...

    Easy to mistake for a GM product, because of the huge windshield that extends up into the roof.
    This is the first of only a two year Mercury-only A-pillar design that more resembles a GM product than any other FoMoCo vehicle of the era.
