These are the Dewarts, who lived north of Boston. Here they are waiting for the ferry across the Saguenay.

My Dad has had a strange fascination with bears ever since I was a kid. We were once camping in Bracebridge, Ontario on vacation. My mother had planned out a whole trip to take her baby boy (That's me!) to Santa's Village to see Santa and his reindeer. We had just gotten settled in when the next day my Dad heard that there had been bear sightings in Algonquin Provincial Park (Not sure why sightings were worthy of radio news. Algonquin has more than it's fair share of bears. I can only assume that somebody's campsite must have been trashed.) Within the hour we were packed up and heading north the 60 miles to Algonquin. We stayed there for several days and he never saw even a sign of a bear.:slap: ...I did get to see Santa wandering through the camp and managed to pet a reindeer so the trip wasn't a total loss.:biglaugh:

While visiting relatives in Fredericton, New Brunswick he loaded us all into the K-Car after someone told him that bears regularly visit the local landfill site. At long last he finally got to see a group of black bears in the "wild"...fleeing in terror from a 9 pound cat when they got too close to it's food. :rofl2:

It got me for the same reason. I spied the 1967 GS400 convertible backed up to the building, 4th from right. Cool!

It's fun looking at the entire photos. Picking out different cars and wagons and checking out the buildings and scenery of the way things used to be. Clothing, hair styles, everything has changed. Amazing how many station wagons there used to be.
