Could that big Dodge wagon really pull a trailer with another Dodge on it?

Yes, it could..but I would be driving it very carefully. This pic is the Dick Landy Dodge team, probably taken some time in 1965. It was a factory-supported team, so the wagon was probably given to them by Dodge.

Even to this day, drag teams still use station wagon-type vehicles to follow the racer down to the end of a track after a run. Also used as a 'push car' to get them from the pits to the starting line.

 

Hey there krash....I've seen old pix of them used as push starters, but I wonder how this tow rig would be on the highway at 65mph! Kinda wobbly, I think.

 

Sorry I'll try to do better next time. Just figured it was the best place to post them and I found the vintage pics in the same place I found the more recent pics. But I did do a little better than 20% vintage. I counted 13 out of 36 pics were vintage photos.
Thats more like 40%.

Are these better?
