Wagons in vintage Street scenes

I sure am enjoying this thread. Thanks to all the contributors for taking the time to post these great pics and ads.

I'm enjoying these pictures too, great to see the wagons in old TV show scenes, Andy Griffith, Flipper. On a side note, just finished watching an episode of the old Hawaii 5-O on Netflix. McGarrett started out a scene racing to the scene of a crime in a 2 dr Merc, by the time he screeched up to a stop, the car had sprouted 2 more doors becoming a 4 dr. I bet if he had had to jump back into the car to pursue a criminal, it might have grown into a WAGON!

 

In Season 1, at least for the first several episodes, he drove a 67 Mercury. Then he switched to a 68 Mercury 4 door that they kept for several seasons. Some of the footage they filmed early on was used repeatedly during the series.
In the picture I posted earlier of a 68 Mercury wagon, McGarrett is at the wheel, but he's on travel in that episode.

 

My hometown, Yakima Washington. 2nd street looking south east. The area was quite seedy at the time of this photo, but has seen a great revitilization.
