Tioga Pass.

Tioga Pass is a mountain pass in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California. The State Route 120 (depicted here!) runs through it, and serves as the eastern entry point for Yosemite National Park at the Tioga Pass Entrance Station. It is the highest elevation highway pass in California and in the Sierra Nevada at an elevation of 9,945 ft (3,031 m).

I've been on the Tioga pass road, but only the part that was within Yosemite Park. Didn't travel from the park exit down to Hwy 395 in Nevada - so that must be this part shown. The Tioga Pass road in the park looks NOTHING like this.

Edit: I was correct. This IS the part of the road from the park boundary, east down to 395. And good news. No more really scary road. The whole way now has 1 full lane going each direction, plus shoulders in most places.
