    Oh, cool! U.S. 10/I-90 summit, a loooooong time ago!!!!
    There also used to be a gemology shop just up the way (photo left) before it and other buildings were condemned for the I-90 improvements back in the late Seventies.

    I-90 certainly makes getting across the Cascades quicker and easier. But I wish it was still the way it shows in this photo.

    It may not be the same as it was, but the old alignment is still there, along with the Chevron station and the restaurant next door. Exit 53 takes you to the place, and I think I'm in error, it looks like SR 906 is the old alignment:

    It's been forty-five plus years since I was on the old U.S. 10, so anything goes, in my mind.
