Wagons in vintage Street scenes

That would be a heckuva building to do up in HO scale for a big layout.

 

I know there are people here who have done that building to scale for their H.O. layout. That's the St. Lawrence Market, which was completed in 1902, but that square part of the front facade with the windows in it is actually the fascia of the former Toronto City Hall building that was built in 1845. Most of the former city hall was demolished, but parts of the centre section were kept intact and the rest of the St. Lawrence Market building was built around it (see pictures below). It's an iconic landmark of the city that is open to the public everyday (except for Mondays) with a farmer's market every Saturday year round. Also, for what it's worth, the St. Lawrence Market was recently voted as the best market in the world by National Geographic.
