Notice rite beside Pontiac is a truck, from the same era as mine, 60-66. Can't tell exactly what year but when it came to engine options and power back in the era of this picture you'd prefer a wagon for hauling a camper/trailer around hands down.
That does look like prity lame camp site though......

Seattle Auto Show, 1956, which included new models from Packard and Hillman.

Horrifying isn't it? I can almost hear that little 2.2L quietly begging "...kill me....please".

Yeah, there were a few folks who brought everything including the fence around their yard when camping. This is an outstanding way to validate the quality and ability of ones airshocks. And I believe the rule of thumb is to make sure you have good weight over the hitch and the trailer axles to prevent sway, keep the rig low to the ground, and have decent mirrors. Two to look past the trailer, one in the middle of the car to look in and see the fear in everyone inside the car. This is where A/C comes in handy as you can put it on full blast and not have to worry about the smell of fear/sweat permeatting the wagon.

Good thing this dude doesn't have a truck to tow that trailer. Can you imagine how much more he could be carrying?:49:
