Was a upscale restaurant long before I moved here in 82. Dined there several times, worked on and in the "Boat That Don't Float" as it was nick named locally. Best WTF, LMFAO was in the mid 90's the deck then a old tar and gravel roof was getting replaced. The stack on the ship, when they started tearing the roof off was full of water and flooded the inside.... thee stack was then removed then for structural reasons. So many additions over the years it became more of a ship by name only and was literally falling in ion itself. Closed the doors for good in 2014, yet the last several years it was not even a restaurant any more being just reserved for convention dinners, banquets, weddings etc.

Shame it could not have been saved, but more money to fix it than it was worth I'm sure. We still have a boat on the shore of the Nanticoke River, near Seaford De. that was a restaurant. It fell on hard times and is now abandoned and for sale.

Tedy - You've posted quite a few of these pics of Dick Charbonneau and his Fairlane drag wagon......
It looked VERY familiar to me......
Then, I saw THIS pic, describing his appearance at the 1970 Winternationals at Pomona, Calif.

    - I WAS THERE! I was quite excited to see this Fairlane wagon (and another one) drag-racing.......
Stock Eliminator was a great class to watch.

    Then, there's the 'Wompin Wagon'........

This went on to become an AMT model kit!

    Thai is cool, KK!

The Wompin Wagon, now I remember that model kit but forgot until you mentioned it. I wondered if it had been yellow as the box art in it's early days, but it does not seem so as I couldn't find a yellow pic of it.
