I assumed the van was a news van or something, possibly filming?

I noticed the "Kustom" FORD and it's Buick trim as well. (I actually thought it was a Buick at first glance.)

    I love this one.

The paint scheme is cool, and being a fan of Miller Highlife (The champagne of bottled beer) makes it even more fun.

IIRC, Petersen Publishing was on the same block to the right, or on the opposite side of the street. I had seen a pic in a copy of Hot Rod, where Mr. Petersen was taking a car for a drive, and you either saw the Toyopet sign behind him, or it was reflected in the storefront window behind him.

I remember Tradewell! Where I live now, it's two blocks and across Broadway Avenue from me; I walked by it, morning and afternoon, back in the late Seventies when I was going to junior high school. And clicking on the pic, I just found out, this is in Seattle, built in 1959! It's now a QFC (Quality Food Center).
