    These Douglas Aircraft engineers proudly display their customized Rambler lunch wagon. It's many modifications included a working water faucet on the right front fender, a Ford Model A headlight mounted to the roof, and the grille lettering skillfully re-organized to spell "Mabel." Santa Monica, CA, 1966...

    A 'lunch wagon'? Evidently just used around the plant grounds itself, and not on the street. The Douglas Aircraft plant was located on the north side of Santa Monica Airport. I lived just south of the airport. The plant's gone now, but a few of the buildings remain.
