How many know what year those Fords are?

I'll take the woodie toward the back.
I wonder how many now have a small bock Chevy V-8?

It looks to be 1937 or '38. And it also appears to be an auto show. I'd like to have a set of those white tires the hanging chassis has.

Just guessing 1939. The front two 4-dr sedans appear to be Mercury plus the one to the left with hood open.
The rest 1939 Fords but I can't see the cateye tail lite well on the coupe behind the pillar. Last year for bulb head lites until modern times. Also first year for hydralic brakes.
Notice the Fords have the wipers above the opening windshield.

    Hemmings Classic Car
    broken brakes
Daniel Strohl on Jan 31st, 2007

Ben Merkel, who owns the 1982 Checker in the December 2006 issue of Hemmings Classic Car, sent us these clippings from a classified ad in the French Nitro Magazine. Devoted HCC Lost and Found readers might remember the car above, mentioned in the May 2006 Lost and Found, but we thought it odd enough to post here.

The ad described it as a 1980 Oldsmobile “break” restored in Portugal with a diesel engine and offered it for 10,000 Euros. Despite the, uh, homely combination of late 1940s and early 1960s sheetmetal and the builder’s apparent lack of a level in his shop, the work does seem well done from the pictures Ben said he wanted to buy it, convert it to biodiesel and cruise it at Woodward. We never got any solid responses on the car’s identity.

From the same issue of Nitro, Ben also sent us a classified for this 1971 Bel Air “break,” complete with 250 six-cylinder, for sale in Belgium. 1,750 Euros would get you this one. From the looks of it, though, it was probably a funeral car rather than a custom creation.

Who wants to bet Barris will take credit for building these too?
