No but I liked the Jack Benny TV shows.
I believe Mr Benny (spoken in a Rochester voice) lived in Waukegan, Illinois and his bronze statue is on the main street near Lake Michigan.
Coincidentally I'm wearing a car shirt I got up there at a car event called "Scoop the Loop". Each day all weekend low riders paraded around several blocks burning up their lift equipment, there were separate areas for custom vans, street rods, antiques, etc. We even watched a drive in movie in a down town parking lot with a Ford coupe and a '55 Chevy in it.
Everything I do and read reminds me of memories of the past, sir.

Bill Champion should learn how to tighten lug nuts properly. Too bad, they were unable to travel in time to get radial tires and then try this on a paved track. 100 mph on a dirt track with those old heaps on bias-plies was still impressive, though.
You mean to say, you still ride your bike to throw newspapers on front porches and never discard aging food from your refrigerator, Sir?

Totally missed this, the first time I viewed this pic. Thought, why is the camera guy taking the pic, and why is the lady looking back at him/her? Then I saw it. Those are not clouds in the sky. That's smoke from a huge fire.........I'm guessing this is So Cal....

They're probably the ones who lit the fire. Or even she, since he photographed her and not the other way around. Otherwise, why the fascination? Pyroperves, they. Shame on them.

Weird. Never have seen anything like that before. Are those travelling cat-petting booths? Or something more sinister? Why the secretive shrouding?

I wonder if cops have "Vintage Cops" threads on their forums or hairdressers "Vintage Haircuts" on theirs. That slept-over Ethyl Merman haircut on that housewife must have been contemporary husbands' nightmares. No wonder, they invented the paper bag and light switches for bedrooms. Why is that woman wearing a giant fishhook through her striped strange hat. Has she developed an attention fetish syndrome?
That's probably why they invented swivel front seats, then. I guess, the advantage for the restaurant would be failing accountability. In other words, the remote patron would never get to see the disgruntled through the campaign to stamp out tips burger flipper swat flies with his flip paddle.
What do they convey out, when a patron has to go potty?
