Holy Mr. Mojo Risin'! That's the Doors getting their pic taken! Too cool!

L to R: John Densmore (drums), Ray Manzarek (keyboards), Jim Morrison (lead vocals) and Robbie Krieger (guitar).

I honestly remember asking this question as a kid born and raised in Caukastan looking at old vacation photos of my parents long before I was born, trips in Canada ( pictures in general) were in black and white yet trips to the USA were mostly colour. I have no proof to back up my statement but remember dad saying colour film was pretty rare back in the 50's ( In Canada) and if you did find it, the cost was pretty expensive .......................

That stands to reason, as most color film of the time was Kodak or Agfa, and importing both was an extra cost.

I can pick my way through German; anyone who knows more, feel free to correct me. The titles on the pics basically say "older view of your city--from the deck of the Hans Peter Schlatterer" or something like that. I take it to mean from the deck of the 'HPS' bridge, but it may be an avenue, rather than a bridge, as the pics are street-level.

That actually is a bridge. In fact, one of few which weren't destroyed in that city.
