    Something going on here. Most likely 1959, and certainly in Los Angeles. I think it's the San Bernardino Freeway (the '10') headed east out of downtown L.A. Looks like the press is following somebody. JFK, maybe?

    I seem to recall an excursion of Airstream trailerists like this going down to Mexico via rail car.........

    1961 was the last year for the big Ford 2-door wagon. You could get a 2-door Falcon wagon through 1965 though.

    - '66 Chevy Caprice Custom behind the '68 Montego MX. Does the Caprice look like it's yellow?
    - Very close to our '66 Caprice. I think we had a roof rack, though. This one doesn't appear to have one.

    That would be cool, except that the 'names' of the '56 Chevy wagons were 'Handyman', Townsman', 'Beauville', and 'Nomad'.
