Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Yes, that's "Charlie Varrick," with Matthau near the end of the film. Haven't seen it since the cable box had the A-B switch for cutting in Showtime.

 

San Francisco 1975. Yes, she is walking a pet raccoon.

 

I've seen that pet coon photo a lot of times. For a year I sold and collected life insurance in town and a small development. A family had a racoon in a pen on the front porch. Sometimes it sat on top of the pen on a leash. It could walk as far as the door. Scared the crap out of me to go up on that porch. It was probably tamer than most of the dogs!
Racoons and other forest animals are now illegal most states.
Another coon story. When our first grand daughter was born in Illinois we camped in a van with our adopted son. We said hi to the baby and left. Him and I went from central Illinois to Wisconsin Dells camping and going to Circus World and other touristy things we'd done years before. Him and I were sleeping in the van in a RV camp and a whole herd of racoons played on top the van.
