Wagons in vintage Street scenes

Answer: It's a Goliath Combi wagon, year unknown - late 50's probably. Goliath was basically a Borgward with different trim, grill, etc. (Look up 'Borgward' on Wikipedia, although there's not much there...)

Oh...OK. Thanks, KK. You know...I remember seeing those cars when I was a kid but had forgotten about them completely. I remembered them by seeing other views.

 

I look at all these street scenes and ask myself, "What the hell happened to cars?!"

Date: 1963-11-07 Description: The description for this image reads, "I-91 Orientation tour." The image shows cars lined up in both lanes on one side of the expressway. There are two police cars across the median. The pavement appears to be wet. A sign on the far side of the highway reads, "Route 5, Bellows Falls, Exit 2 miles
