Maybe it's not lead, but the grandmom and her two old dottering aunts who might have died during the trip, ala "Family Vacation"!!

We are more alike than we know. I seem to look for things that aren't there, and usually find them.

Thats rare!. We noted the white door panel on that open rear door,, and the poverty hubcaps with optional cost WWs and the other has full caps. My wife chose the white roof as the better looking model:yup:
I chose the other dark roof!! duh:naughty: AND appears to have a StateFarm Ins sticker or AAA on the left rear bumper

No one seemed to notice at the far left of the photo, the tail light of a third Ford in the same blue.

Actually, I don't think that one on the far left is a wagon and I think its a 55 and not a 56.
The tail light lens looks different, thats why I think its a 55. The area below the tail light is blue indicating the lower of the two tone colors is blue. But if it were a wagon, the inside of the fin above the tail light would also be blue instead of white. 55 and 56 Fairlane hardtops, verts, coupes and sedans with two toning would have the upper body color extending to the inside of the fin since the upper color would extend across the trunk lid. the lower lip of the trunk lid and the bottom of the tail lights would be the dividing line for the two colors.
I'm a Mopar guy and don't know Fords well so I could be wrong.

Even so, with three Fords there wearing the same two tone paint combinations, I would be inclined to believe that they were traveling together and were part of a fleet of company cars, rentals, or a very unusual family. Maybe all those women are from a girls school and blue and white are the school colors.

The wagon in this picture is a 59 Ford. The wrecked sedan is a bit more difficult to identify. But, I think I've narrowed it down to a 53 Plymouth Cranbrook or a 54 Plymouth Plaza.

This guy decided he needed a 56 Elcamino more than a handy man two door wagon.
