And they are both the much rarer Daytona Chargers, not the more common super birds. Remember back when they were new most people thought of the winged cars more like Cartoons, even Judges were considered over the top and not really that popular when new.
And like most cars of the day when they were 5 years old and had 100,000 miles on them they were considered used up and trashed. Also about 1973 it almost became impossible to insure the winged cars. We had a Superbird in great condition on a used car lot for over 3 years, gas milage and insurance rates made it almost impossible to own for anyone under 40. I was 14 when I 1st saw it. I was 17 when I talked my then boss into buying it. It was a 440 4bbl car so he wasn't that interested (he collected Hemi's and T/A Challengers) But he ended up buying it in 77 for $2000 sold it along with his best T/A Challenger to an executive at A/C Spark Plug for a cool 500,000 in the mid 80's. I still hate him!
