Question about post #31........not that I really care about Bill Cosby. But why is he driving a Rover TC 2000 sedan? And yes, there IS a Thunderbird somewhere in that pic.
Given that it's a right-hand drive vehicle, he's entering the passenger side, probably in an attempt to steal the radio
In the 'Vehicles I regret selling department', my 1962 Thunderbird was one of them. Sort of fell in love with them in the mid 60's when my step-mom's boss showed up at the house in a beige '61 or '62 (can't remember which year). Finally was able to buy the turquoise '62 in the mid 80's but the sellers 'hid' the fact it had a spun crank bearing, and at the time, we just didn't have the money to rebuild it. Then the kids came along.......
Well, a T-Bird would fit in your garage much better than a full-size wagon. And the 61-63 Thunderbirds are actually usually pretty reasonable. Maybe you can relive that dream now Marshall.
Oh boy - I was just starting to explore the used vehicle market to determine what kind of vehicle I might be able to afford some time next year, and then Jeremiah gives me ANOTHER possibility............ Hard to get lumber home from the big box store in a '62 Thunderbird, though - but you COULD just get a small trailer and use the SUV, which has a hitch receiver. Gee, THANKS, Jeremiah..... (LOL)
I always thought that reversing Holley 2-barrels on a 3X2 setup would starve the metering blocks on hard acceleration.
