Those Gas Wars were great for us cruisers. I remember getting Texaco for 28 Regular and 32 Hi-Test once back around 1970. At my station we were selling it for 35 and 39 (my station had no competition, lol). Instead of $1 worth, I probably splurge $2 or $3 that day, lol.
Whoever designed that convertible was talented to the point where I would have voted he or she the best American car designer of that era. I've never been to art school. But, they say that they teach you about placing circles and curves into where the design gets harmonized. Those headlight bezels are of a timeless design and where could the appropriately round turn signals have been better placed?
