    Ah, yes, Burger Chef. Boy do I miss their shakes; they were definitely thicker than McDonald's "triple thick" shakes, because by the time I was old enough to have shakes, McD's was using a shake mix, and everyone else made ice cream shakes.

    Yes, we had some Pioneer Chicken units around. It wasn't particularly unique enough, or better than KFC, so it sort of went away..... don't recall having their chicken more than a couple of times.....

    I'm sure there were some who preferred it over KFC, but for me, I simple don't remember what their chicken tasted like.....If it were REALLY GOOD, or REALLY BAD, I would remember.
