^^ If the 1980 models were out at the time this pic was taken, the owner of that little Subaru just might have traded it in for something a bit larger - like the brand-new AMC Eagle.
Forum was having 'issues' this morning when I was trying to post that. I moved on to other things.....
Wow 2 Sonnet's and a early Vega on the same lot, if they were still 2-stroke models (doubtful as the Vega makes it 1970 at the earliest) I would say something like "witch one do you think smokes more?" Also that Vega sedan makes those Sonnet's look really small! Granted the Sedan and wagon have a 2" taller roof and windshield line than a Hatch Back, but still.
When I saw the Sonnets, I thought they were something else, owing to their small size. I thought they were about the size of a Vega!
Firestone Bl. in Downey, California back then was 'car dealer row' for that area. Still is, to a great extent. This particular lot, at 7440 E. Firestone Bl, obviously isn't an Oldsmobile dealer anymore. I looked up the location on Google Earth, and it's a HUGE used car dealer, called 'California MotorTrade'. Lot's FULL of vehicles.
