Vintage dealerships

The Ron Tonkin Auto Group still has a bunch of dealers in the Pacific Northwest. We visited their Dodge franchise in the Portland area last year when we were looking for a replacement for our crashed 2012 Ford Edge. They had a 2018 Edge that looked quite nice. First, they couldn't find the unit. After waiting for about 1/2 an hour, I went out into the lot and found it in 5 minutes. Took a look at it - nice, except there was now a rather significant dent in the right rear door (cracking the white pearl 3-stage paint....) that wasn't there in their on-line pics - so the damage occurred while they had it. In negotiation, it was made apparent they would only agree to use a PDR guy on the dent and then 'touch up' the paint. Even one of their other guys took a look at it and said it needs full body and paint work. We walked.
