    Just watched some old Cal Worthington commercials on youtube a few weeks ago. The 70's sure were a zany time with some equally zany characters.

    In Western Washington, it was Dick Balch. His schtick was to smash a new car's windshield, then laugh maniacally. GM was set to yank his franchising, until they found out his sales were very high, much higher than other GM dealerships around the Western U.S.

    His antics also kept his mechanics working which was wonderful for the local economy :rolleyes:
