It's interesting to note that both are the same design, but one's a Jimmy, the other's a Chevy.

 

It is indeed.

 

I think they're the same vehicle. The blue/black version is definitely a GMC, and the yellow version appears to me to have a big 'GMC' on the hood. I think that might be the same race car, too.

 

I'd suppose it's possible the bus is the same, but the front clips were swapped at one time?

Yeah, but do you remember when they were in the freight business? In 1969, when I was being deployed to VietNam, we moved from Frisco back to IL. We boxed what meager household goods we owned and sent them home via Greyhound bus, about 4 boxes as I recall. They were delivered to the bus stop in the little town where we lived. We also were loaded with everything we could carry on our plane fight, including our TV set. It was buckled in its own seat. There were no exorbitant fees involved and the plane only had about 20 other passengers on it.

 

Yeah, I could see that, I did know Grey Dog handled freight at one time. We'd had stuff shipped by them in the '70s.
