I love how vivid the colors are in this photo. Everything about it, setting, architecture, vehicles, etc. are fantastic.
I used to "work" in those buses when I was a kid. My job was to change the signs, refill the money changer, let people in when the doors were closed on cold days, etc, all at the end of the lines. The Front Sign was operated by a hand crank. The ones on the side and back windows were fancy cardboard signs, tucked in behind a cross rod. I would ride all day on Saturdays. The buses were nostalgic even back in the old days and powered by the sweet sounding Detroit Diesel. If no one has never ridden in one and if you ever get a chance to take a ride, take it, lol. My Grand Dad worked for a bus company for 39 years.

By the time I got to High School, the company switched to "Fish Bowls". They were cool too, but just not as nostalgic as the "Old Look". Although they were still Detroit powered as well.
