Can anyone tell me why the bus has the i cline treatment? I already know, but I wanna see if anyone else knows or can guess.
Ha ha, nice try. I might as well reveal: the incline table tested the suspension. If it was too weak to keep the bus from lifting the high-side tires, the bus would be shopped for suspension work. This is how they prevent double-deckers from flopping over. If you ever watch any make turns, they barely lean over, and new buses these days have active suspensions that stiffen the outside springs and shocks to prevent the bus from swaying in the turn.
If any of you are visiting George Bush in Kennebunkport Maine, there are a lot of old busses here. http://www.trolleymuseum.org/ http://www.trolleymuseum.org/collection/vehicle/bus
Way before my time here in Oregon. It's how you got up to the top where the Mt. Hood ski resort was (is). Tram went away as soon as they made a better road to go up there. Haven't had the chance to go up there yet, but it's on the 'things to do in Oregon' list. Driven AROUND Mt. Hood. Just haven't gone UP it.
